30 Day Yoga Challenge - Week 2

Anyone else tired of miserable January weather yet?

Eyyyyyy, Look who survived week 2 of the 30 Day Yoga Challenge (Just!)

I have discovered that when it comes to any kind of 'balancing pose' ... I Suck. Pretty much.
There have definitely been a few face planting occasions... ooops. (Why don't they make yoga mats more padded dammit!)

So far I think Day 13 has been my favourite. I am obsessed with any lower back/pelvis stretch. I think this is where having a job where i'm sat at my desk almost all day really takes it's toll.

As far as content goes there is definitely something new to learn every day, despite these sessions being so short Erin definitely crams a lot in to them... A few times I have even gone through the video twice just because I felt it was over too quickly! I guess one of the biggest positives of this all being online, is you can pause, replay and rewind as many times as you need (You don't often get this benefit attending a regular yoga class!)

I've had a sneak peak and seen a few clips of what's to come in the next few days of the challenge... Doing the splits.. and headstands!?! .... WHAT!? - This is where I die guys.

Christmas Chit Chat

Look who's found time to write a blog post! (YesIKnowIHaventPostedInOverAMonthWorstBloggerEverOk)

CHRISTMAS HAPPENED! I hope everyone had a lovely day with their families or whoever you were celebrating with!... And if you don't celebrate Christmas.I hope you had a good day anyway.

This was my first Christmas I spent away from home! After 19 years it was nice to do something different this time around. I think that the bit I missed the most was not seeing my two lovely puppies on Christmas day and having them rip the paper of my presents!

So Much Cute *Aaaahhh*

Anyway. So remember that Camera I got a few Months ago? Since I Finished work for Christmas it genuinely hasn't left my side. Here are some snaps I've taken so far over my Christmas Break!

Whats your favourite thing that happened this Christmas? - Mine was getting to see all my friends who have all gone off to different uni's we worked out it's been over two years since we have all met up together! Gahh!

Maybe Someday...

Hey there!

So, i'm not entirely sure what to call this post. Bucket list? Things to do before i'm 100?
Ehh. I'm just gonna go with someday I would really love to do all these things.
I'm not going to set a timescale on any of these. I just like knowing that someday they are definitely a maybe.

The list

I've been wanting to do this one for a while... Someday I want to have a pretty dramatic haircut and donate a large portion of my hair to The Little Princess Trust .They specialise in making wigs for children going through cancer treatments. My hair is pretty long so hopefully one day it will make one little princess very happy.
I want to volunteer for a wildlife and animal protection charity in Thailand or South America (or both!) I'm thinking something along the lines of helping with Elephants and Orangutans? I'm not going to be fussy, I just think it would be so amazing!
For an entire year (maybe next year?) I want to take a photo every single day of something that has made me smile. No matter how little.

Someday I really want the opportunity to help someone who went through or is going through anxieties, and 'mental health problems' at school. Having personal experience in this area I think I owe something back to the people who helped me. (I guess this is a story for another day, but it is something I would really like to do)
Now this one may seem a little small and silly but I reaaalllyy want to learn how to play an instrument... properly. I have a ukulele that has been sitting in my room for over a year just gathering dust. Maybe that's where I will start.
Okay. This is one that I have wanted to do for years and years and years. My lovely friend Maeghan who I grew up with in the UK moved back home to Canada quite some time ago now. Someday i'm gonna go and visit her and her awesome family over in Nova Scotia. Watch out Canada, i'm coming for you!
Staying on the same sort of theme, some day I am going to go and visit my amazing pen friend, Devika. She lives in India and earlier this year we were lucky enough to meet up and have lunch in London. Seeing we as we met through Twitter and our mutual love of Harry Potter and cupcakes, I think that's pretty awesome.
I want to learn a new language!
I'd like to adopt an animal. It might not be my first or second.. But someday I'd like to give a better home to an animal who maybe hasn't had a lot of love in it's life before.
I've always wanted to live somewhere (even just for a little while) near the seaside.

Someday I want to hold hands with my boyfriend and watch something like the northern lights or a solar eclipse or a meteor shower or something along those lines.
My last one for now is that someday I would like to have a job where I really genuinely look forward to Mondays.

I guess that's it for now.

Making a Difference

I suppose you just have to find that good in each day, and then even the bad ones won't seem so bad :)

Now i'm not saying you're going to see a cute little duck splashing about having a great time in the puddles every day, but little things that make you smile all add up to something eventually. Right? Right.

One of my favourite blogs / twitter feeds is all done by The Random Acts Of Kindness Foundation. They always have the loveliest ideas about how to make somebodies day just a little bit brighter. I love the concept, and I know i'm not the only one... So why not give it a go?

✿✿✿

1. Call that person you always said you will 'keep in touch with' even if you haven't spoken in ages!

2. If you see someone you go to work or school with having a bad day, just bring them a cup of tea or hot chocolate (Even better!) ... Don't ask. Just do! (even if they don't like tea... a warm cup is a lovely hand warmer if it's chilly outside!)

3. Let that person in your lane when you are driving, they might be in just as much of a rush as you are!

4. Smile at a stranger ... Not in a creepy way, in a just because way. (smiles are contagious... Spread it around!)

5. Each time you get a new piece of clothing, donate an old one to charity. Same goes for anything you can think of
(Bed sheets, Blankets, Cups, Plates, toys ... You get the idea)

6. Put sticky notes with positive slogans or smiley faces on the mirrors in public restrooms.
(I love this one)

7. Leave lovely comments on blogs, Twitter, Facebook or any social media you're into

8. Do the job nobody wants to do. (Perhaps clean that part of the house/office that everybody has been putting off)

9. Bake some cakes or cookies to share with you friends/family/colleagues (Everybody loves cake)

10. Call somebody you love and thank them for being so lovely

It's nothing much... But maybe we can just do what we can with what we have.

Getting all Photographical

Autumn

Ooops! Look who had a birthday.

19 years old!? Yeesh how did that happen?!

Anyway so I wanted to do a blog post about my new favorite thing at the moment. My lovely boyfriend got me a camera for my 19th and I honestly can't put it down.

* Thank you Frankie :) *

The camera is the Fujifilm instax mini 90 Neo Classic (Bit of a mouthful I know!)

And it looks a little something like this ... *Squee*

I absolutely love the retro design of this camera and from the few snaps i've taken with it the photo quality is amazing, especially for an instant print camera!

I haven't had a chance to try out all of the different modes and exciting buttons on the back yet, but I have found the brightness control options and 'party mode' are incredibly helpful if you're shooting somewhere with low light conditions... which is pretty much everywhere in the wintry months!

I can't wait to push some more buttons and find out what they all do! - Maybe I will do a blog post about which one does what? ... As soon as I figure it out myself!

So here are a few snaps that i've taken so far. I would like to thank my dog, Blue. For being such a good test subject... Enjoy! Hopefully lots more to follow :)

P.S. I'd love to hear any tips anyone has for these Camera's? It's definitely very different to my old Polaroid camera so any advice will be much appreciated :)

Hey there Autumn

Autumn

Well, that's it. I'm actually digging out all of my cosy winter warmer cardigans/jumpers out from the depths of my wardrobe now.

I love autumn. I love the change and how nothing looks the same as it did yesterday.
I also have an unhealthy addiction to pumpkin spiced latte's.

People always talk about loving the sound of leaves crunching beneath their feet... I don't think these people have ever experienced leaves crunching beneath your horses hooves.
I love it. It makes all the months that you spend wading through mud and trying not to get frostbite totally worth it.

This is my happy Place
